Director Ang Lee filmed scenes—particularly cabin sequences—in and around Porterville and Sequoia National Park in Tulare County. 

Son in Law (1993)

A comedy starring Pauly Shore; scenes set on a “South Dakota farm” were actually filmed on a farm in Visalia, Tulare County. 

Artemis - Linsey Stirling

This violin masterpiece was filmed in Tulare County's very own Balch Park, which sits above Springville, CA.

True Detective (Season 2)

The climactic scene featuring Ray Velcoro was shot in Balch Park, located in the Sierra Nevada foothills near Springville, CA—firmly within Tulare County.

Lost on Purpose (2013)

A drama-comedy shot in and around Visalia, following a group of men working at a Tulare County dairy. 

California’s Gold – Things That Come Back (1999)

Huell Howser spotlighted Tulare Lake and regional history in a 1999 episode of California’s Gold
